Free Copy Of SmartDD LITE

Following on from a comment I had about SmartDD LITE and the recent subscriber offer, I’ve decided to offer a free copy for personal use to everyone who signs up to my blog list, effective immediately.

This doesn’t include resale rights, just the ability to use it on your own sites.

If you’ve purchased resale rights, then why not use the same principles we’ve been discussing here the last few days and give your internet business a boost?

You know it makes sense. 🙂

Subscriber Offer Follow Up

I just checked and I’m really pleased to say that the subscriber offer I put up yesterday is converting at just 6% – actually 6.38% to be precise.

It really makes my day when I see so many people who “get it” and know that this will make a big difference to their internet business.

Interestingly I had to do one refund as someone thought I was selling a small course on using your list as an affiliate program.  Well that was part of the learning, but all the learning was really free to read on that page.

What I’m selling there is the opportunity to use the same copy on that page, plus all the products.  Maybe I didn’t make that clear enough and so I’ll go tweak the copy tomorrow when the price goes up to its permanent $67.

I’ve also been asked if there’s any technical help on setting up the offer similar to mine.  Well, no there isn’t, at least not for $27 anyway.

It’s a fact that if you’re going to have any success online, then it’s a good idea to learn some of the technical aspects.  Yes I know some people who have little technical ability and who’ve farmed almost everything out from day one, but I wouldn’t really recommend that.  If you don’t have an inkling on how to do it yourself, how do you know when you’re being ripped off?

So that’s two very interesting points that have been raised there.

#1 – There’s a need for a short course on how to turn your list into an affiliate program.
#2 – There’s a need to help people set things up, or better still show people how they can set things up themselves.

So maybe I’ll do those at some point, or maybe you can beat me to it.  😉

A Little Thing That Will Make a BIG Difference

When someone signs up to one of your mailing lists for the first time, then they’re showing that they’re interested in you and what you have to say. (Let’s ignore lists that are there to keep customers up to date with new releases and bug fixes in software.)

The chances are, that right at that moment in time, their focus is very narrow. They’re looking to you for any help or advice in the field that they’re interested in.

So why not give them EXACTLY what they want?

This Leaked Text Will Upset You, But…

Assuming you can grow your mailing list by a modest 300 new subscribers per month (if not I’ll explain how to do that and more shortly), and that you make all your new subscribers a great special offer that sells for $67.

With a typical 1% conversion rate, you could earn:-

3 sales at $67 = $201 / month
$201 x 12 months = $2,412 / year

For just a few hours work that you did ONCE, you’ve added $2,412 / year to your income. Every year.

When Things Go Wrong

Every so often even though you take all precautions, things go wrong.

Like my subscriber special offer you can use in your own internet business which was going to be released this last week.

I spent several hours on the copy and I was really pleased with it.  I usually do all my writing in a plain text editor and spruce it up in Dreamweaver afterwards, making tweaks and changes to the copy here and there as I go.

So, I’d done all that and spent another 3 hours tweaking the copy here and there in Dreamweaver as I normally do, and getting it all formatted nicely with box outs etc.

All I had left to do was add some boxes with the offer itself, a few closing paragraphs and that was it.  A couple of hours work left, tops.

Except…

When I went to bed on Sunday night, tired and pleased with what I’d done…

What I didn’t realise as I saved the HTML document was I’d deleted all the spruced up copy by mistake as it was all in a single table.  I didn’t find out until Monday when I came to finish it off.

You can imagine how I felt.

But just in case you can’t, I was so dejected I just didn’t have it in me to redo it all again right after I’d done so much and lost it all.

So it had to wait a few days, but now it’s almost all put back together again, so…  as I like to say…

Watch this space.
