PLR Membership Re-opening

Update: The PLR membership is now OPEN and is currently $27.00/month until I reach my target number of subscribers. At that point I'll increase it to the regular price of $47.00

You can get to the sales page here:-

Tomorrow (Thursday) I’ll be re-opening my PLR membership at a temporary reduced price, and I’ll reveal that price now.  It’s just $27 a month for PLR to TWO product sets.

Or put another way, it works out as $13.50 each…  😉

But that price is only valid until I fill up my remaining slots to make the membership viable for me to continue to run.  (It’s been touch and go.)

Each month you’ll get PLR to 5 sales page designs, PLUS additional PLR to either a WordPress plugin or theme, or a PHP script or other program, or a special report or video set created by me.

It’s a pretty good deal.

Just the five sales pages alone are worth your membership.

Ask anyone.  If you were to pay to have ONE sales page created for yourself, they’d cost you $47-$97 depending on who did them for you, and all you’d get back is the design with uneditable PNG or JPEG files.

With the ones we supply you get Private Label Rights to the entire pack of 5, PLUS all the PhotoShop PSD source files.  In addition we make sure there are no hard-coded text in graphics (wherever possible) and in the few cases there are, we also supply blank JPEGs or PNGs so you can use your favourite graphics editor to add your own text.

Okay?

As for the cost of developing the WordPress plugins and themes, you’re talking anything from five hundred to two thousand dollars and upwards – go find out for yourself.  So I think it’s fair to say that every month you’re getting between $750 to $2000 worth of products you can rebrand and call your own.

At the special relaunch price of $27 it’s not just a good deal it’s a smoking deal!

***

First I’d like to give you a bit of background about the membership.  I opened it in November last year, and everything went fine until about March when my one and only designer took an office job in Singapore.  He still does some part time work for me.

Then I had to fire one of my plugin developers as he was supposedly working full time for me and (when he slipped up) we found out he was also working “full time” for one of my friends.  (No wonder he was getting slower and slower…)

This left me with a full time plugin developer and a part time designer.

And then to make matters worse, my remaining developer decided to go look for an office job too and also went part time in June.

While this was all going on I just couldn’t find the right people to fill the gaps left behind and from April until now I’ve been struggling to fulfill the promise of 2 monthly PLR products as part of the membership.

It even got to the stage last month where I’d just about decided to close up shop on the membership as I couldn’t see how I could continue to deliver products like I had been – I’m certainly not a designer or a plugin developer.

And then out of the blue I picked up two new designers, one of whom can create WordPress themes.  Hurrah!

I then (by accident) found a part timer who is now in training to become my full time PA and Project Manager in March 2012.

But the icing on the cake is I also found a new full time coder, AND just this week my part time developer has increased her weekly hours to almost full time.

Suddenly I have a full set of staff and that makes the membership viable again.  And I also have enough “give” in there to make sure that if someone leaves then the membership won’t suffer like it has this year.

***

To kick off the relaunch of the membership with a bang tomorrow, I’m adding in some extras.  So instead of you joining and getting one month’s worth of products, I’m including a few more bits and pieces too.

The current product set is for August, but I’ve left July’s active too.  September’s will be ready next week.

So when you join tomorrow, you not only get July and August’s membership products, you’ll also get September’s too when I add it in a few days time.

That’s THREE months worth of membership in this first month.  (For existing members I’ll put something else in so you don’t feel left out.)

Forget pretty good, forget smoking, this is a RED HOT deal.

But ONLY when you join tomorrow at just $27 / month.

When I fill the minimum membership slots I need, then the price goes back up.

I’ll give you some additional details tomorrow and re-open the membership at 6.00pm GMT (1.00pm EST).

YouTube, 720P and Private Videos

I opened a new YouTube account recently so that I could show videos on the Warrior Forum as it seems that’s the only way you can do it.

I have to say I’ve found it quite useful.  There have been a few good changes since I registered my first account a few years ago, and one of those is that you can view videos at 720p.  The really interesting thing about this is that if you have the bandwidth, 720p actually loads faster than the default 360p.

Pop it up to full screen at 720p, and the quality is so good it’s getting very close to the quality I recorded it at.  Great stuff.

And…

You can turn off ads!

How many videos have I watched and thought “Flaming Google putting ads everywhere!”  Now I’ve found out it’s not Google at all, it’s the individual user turning them on.

You can even make videos private, although I’ve not tried that yet.

In all this now means I can do a pile of tutorial videos (optionally for staff only if I make them private I guess) and you can watch them at really high quality without sucking any bandwidth from my server.

I wonder if the whole private video thing also lets us share them automatically to individuals via an API?  That would be really cool wouldn’t it?  You wouldn’t need a dedicated server or Amazon S3 to store your videos for your members, you could just use YouTube’s storage and bandwidth instead.

If it’s possible, there’s another product idea eh?  😉

Three Updates

#1 – Affiliate Link Plugin

We’ve just completed testing a bug fix for the Affiliate Link plugin, where we’ve now amended the method of hiding the destination page so that it appears as if it’s part of your own blog rather than a page on another site.  We’ve done this by moving from an iframe to a regular frame (and changing a couple of other under the hood things), and it seems to work perfectly.

If you have this plugin, go back to your personal download page and get the latest version there.  Just unzip and FTP it to your website overwriting the plugin files that are already there, and you’re done.

Your cloaked links should now work perfectly.

#2 – Script Manager Plugin

D’OH!

I kicked off the sale last Friday and decided to take a couple of days away from it all.  When I looked again, I realised that the PluginGreat.com domain expired on Saturday…  (It was on my todo list to renew it, and I missed it.)

I’m really sorry about that, I quickly reactivated the domain so you can now go back to the download link that would have come with your email and finally download it if you haven’t already done so.

AND… if you need it you can get support from the support desk on the PluginGreat.com site too.

Egg on my face…

#3 – PL Ahh

Dirk W (hi Dirk) came up with a great idea for Decembers software PLR product, and Eric (one of my WordPress plugin developers) has been busy working on it.  It’s such a good idea I’ve been tempted to keep it all for myself, but I told Dirk I’d release it with PLR so we’ll stick to the plan.

If you’re a member of PL Ahh, you’ll be thrilled with it, and I know there’s more than a few members that will make a lot of money from it by selling it, far more than I’ll be making by supplying PLR to the membership.  😉

The plugin itself is internally called Affiliate Ticker, but of course you can call it anything you want.  That’s all I want to say about it for now, but it’s well worth having when it’s ready, both to sell or give away and of course for personal use too.

As well as the plugin, we’re also releasing another set of 5 sales pages (both HTML and WP versions), and personally I think these are better than the first ones – and those first ones are *very* good.  I’ve already seen two of last months PLR sales pages turn up on a couple of sites, so I’m pleased to see they’re already being put to good use.

Ask anyone.  If you were to pay to have ONE of these sales pages created for yourself, they’d cost you $47-$97 depending on who did them for you, and all you’d get back is the design with uneditable PNG or JPEG files.

With the ones we supply you get Private Label Rights to the entire pack of 5, plus all the PhotoShop source files, PLUS WordPress page template versions too.

Okay?

Each month from PL Ahh you get TWO PLR products for the price of one.

Typically it will be a standalone PHP script or WordPress plugin or WordPress theme, plus a graphics type product.  But I might also add in the odd report that I write myself (or have written with my close supervision).  The report would come with a squeeze page to allow you to sell it as a list builder.

Now this current (first) months PL Ahh products I released for November are without sales page or copy.  My reasoning is that if you’re not going to put in the effort to make the products yours, then you may as well just be part of an MRR membership instead.

Make sense?

Despite that, I’ve had some people say that they’d like the sales pages and copy included for the products, so I’m going to do that because I want to give you what YOU want, not what I think you should have.  This then also gives those people who are prepared to put in a little effort the opportunity to make their version of the products unique.

That difference always means more sales.

Now then…

I really want to see more members join PL Ahh and it’s still possible to join in this first month and while the price is still only $27.

I’ll just repeat that as it’s important.

The monthly membership cost is STILL only $27 for the next 17 new members.  (The next step up is another $10 at 101 members.)

You get TWO brand new PLR products each month, and I think you’ll find those two products are a little different from what you’d normally expect to get from a PLR membership.

When the final 17 membership places are taken, the price will go up by another $10.

It’s well worth your time securing these last few places before it’s too late.

PL Ahh Membership Now Open…

My new PLR membership site PL Ahh is now open. 😉

If you’re one of the first 50 members, you’ll get access at just $20 per month and you’ll get TWO products each and every month.

That’s just $10 per brand new never before released product, and in anyone’s books that’s a BARGAIN.

You can find out more details and join up here.

Really GOOD Membership Software

I’ve looked all over the place for a GOOD general purpose membership script, preferably for WordPress.  Have I found one?

I’m still looking.

A weakness I’ve noticed in many of the membership scripts is you’re either IN the membership, or you’re OUT of it.  It doesn’t seem like there’s been enough thought given over to all the different methods of actually handling members.

Even the the one I’ve found that has considered that you might not actually want members to be just in or out is flawed.  The assumption is that it’s a drip fed membership concerned with supplying content as learning rather than as products.

Here’s the specific scenario I’m thinking about where the content is product, as with PLR Code Mine.

Someone joins a membership today.  They’re a member for three months and then for whatever reason they drop out.  Two months later, they rejoin.  What would you expect to have happened in this scenario?

What I expect from a really good membership script is that if someone has been a paid member for 3 months, then they should ALWAYS have access to that content, even during the times they’re not a paid member.  So if the content they’ve purchased is updated, they get the benefit of it.

If they then drop out for two months, then as administrator I should be able to specify that they shouldn’t get access to that two months worth of content.  They’ve missed the boat.

I may also wish to sell it to them at a much higher price than if they’d been a regular member, to allow them to catch up.

So when they rejoin at month 6, they now have access to months 1-3 and 6, but not to month 4 and 5.  They can purchase month 4 and 5 at say three times the regular membership price if they wish to, at which point they then have perpetual access to it, even if they drop out of the membership again.

To me, that would be a perfect membership solution.  But I’m damned if I can find anyone that does such a script.

I have found one where a lot of thought has gone into membership as learning, but not where membership involves a product.  What happens there is that when the member rejoins at month 6, then they get access to month 4, not month 6.  And the workaround suggested by the very helpful developer / owner involved just doesn’t cut it.  Grrr…

There’s nothing for it, I’ll have to get my own done.  I can see from other sites that I’m a member of that there’s a real need for such a script, as they all have the same issues.  I’m either in or out, and once a month has gone by, the back products get removed.

I just find it difficult to believe that no-one has ever sat down and thought about this.  Fortunately for me, it’s such a glaring omission it leaves the door wide open for a BETTER membership script than the rest of the stuff on the market, doesn’t it?

Watch this space.
