Don’t Have Enough Time…

…To Make Money?

Are you sure?

I know what it’s like believe me. Sometimes the weeks just blur by, and I wonder how I get anything done, but then I know how to get more time and more of my life back.

It’s easy.

Try this little exercise.

How much time a day do you spend watching TV? An hour? Two hours? Three? Let’s assume one hour a day.

Give up TV for one week and you have SEVEN hours to create a product.

I’ve created products in far less time than that.

Do it for a month, and you have the best part of an entire working week. Don’t tell me you can’t create a product in that time. I don’t accept excuses like that from anyone. It’s just nonsense.

Even if you spend two or three hours a day watching TV or whatever it is you do to occupy yourself, just giving up one hour a day will give you plenty of time to take the first steps to change your life.

Make time, and you’ll make money. Time IS money.

Why not give it a try? You never know…

Let me know how you get on.

From Ideas To Money

In another post, I talked about the “The Big Secret”, and the fact that there is no secret, the only thing that’s holding you back from earning a comfortable living online is you.

All you need to do is work out what it is you’d like to create your first product about, what format you’re going to do it in, and then do it.

You’ll feel much better for having actually done something rather than just kid yourself you’ve done something by making a purchase.

The good feeling you’ll get from achieving something tangible will spur you onto the next step, putting up a sales page.  It doesn’t need to be pretty.

And hey!  Guess what?

When you’ve completed that part, now you’ll feel good that you actually have your own product and a sales page.

Wow! Two steps in the right direction.  And I bet that while you were busy doing those things, you weren’t wasting money and time buying stuff.

All you need now is some traffic, and you’re nearly there to your first sale.  Just one hundred mildly interested visitors and you’ll get that first sale and have made your first money online.

Amazing!

You’ll experience that life changing feeling that you’ve made money out of thin air.

You took an idea and turned it into money.

Try it.  I guarantee you it’s easier than you think.

Easy Money, Guaranteed

I often get a comment left when someone unsubscribes from a mailing list. They fall into two main categories.

#1 – I’m cutting down all my subscriptions. Overload!
#2 – You loser, spammer, scammer, and worse.

But every so often, I’ll get someone say something like…

“I’ve been trying for 6 months now, and all that’s happened is I’ve spent a load of money.”

Well yes, that’s one way of going about business. Give it a half hearted attempt, spend a load of money thinking it’s going to make a difference, and then give up when the magic doesn’t happen.

I blame the marketers out there that promise things like “Try my ABC system and you’ll be able to give up your job in just 30 days from now!”

Oh really! Come on! If it were really that easy, you think anyone would tell you?

They’d just keep the method to themselves and scale it up.

They’d hire a load of employees and make them do all the work for a salary, keeping the lion’s share to themselves. That’s how real businesses do it and you already know it without me telling you.

So why do so many people fall for the “get rich quick” scams? And not just once, but over and over?

There are multiple reasons, but I’ll just cover the one here today.

It’s easier to buy a product and FEEL you’ve done something to build your internet business than it is to actually DO something to build your business.

I’m right aren’t I?

I know I am because that’s exactly what I’ve done in the past.

There’s nothing wrong with buying knowledge.

It’s how I make my living, and it’s also something I do myself on a regular basis. I spend a lot of money on my own education in the form of online courses, processes and procedures I’m unsure of, books which I get from either Play.com or Amazon.com, and so on.

But once I have the knowledge, I stop buying and I start doing.

Here today, I’m going to give you my condensed 7 step course in how to make money online…

#1 – Create a product.
#2 – Put up a sales page.
#3 – Drive traffic to it.
#4 – Build your mailing list.
#5 – Make some sales.
#6 – Automate it all.

and the vital last one…

#7 – Repeat.

There’s an even more condensed version up at the top of the home page of this blog.

Product Creation, Traffic, List Building, Automation = Internet Business

It’s as simple as that.

No, it’s not easy. Real business isn’t. You already know that.

A real business is built from sustained effort. Not from buying stuff for 6 months and then giving up.

But what it is, is it’s GUARANTEED to work.

P.S. The title of this post is a hat tip to someone who gets it so much he’s parodied it (hi Peter). Just Google it…

Chronic Buyers Syndrome – Is This You?

You get an email about the latest greatest new thingy.  You buy the low cost product or register for the freebie, and then you decide you MUST buy the one time offer that comes with it.

You really can’t afford to miss out on it as you’ll be missing out in your education, and you’ll fall behind and won’t be able to keep up with what other people are talking about online. I understand that, those are good reasons to buy in some niches.

So you take a quick look at the freebie, and then you read the first few chapters of the ebook or watch the first couple of videos, and then you get bored.

Then another email comes in the next day, and off we go again!

The act of buying for many people is the temporary satisfaction of that need to feel they’re doing something to get closer to their desire of having an internet business.

But really, it’s the complete opposite.

The more you learn, the more you’ll suffer from inaction.

Why would that be so?

Well…

You’ll start to suffer doubts and fears because you learned you should do it this way in this ebook you read, and that you should do it that way in a video you purchased.

Which is right? What should you do? One of those must be a waste of time, the other one is the right way, the secret you need to know.

So you do nothing, waiting for that extra bit of information that will support one method or the other.

In the meantime, you’re distracted by another email about some other method to “crank out cash faster than a rabbit on steroids”.  What nonsense.  What’s worse is, you know it’s nonsense. But it doesn’t stop you having a look does it?

And while you’re doing that, you’re doing nothing…

It’s a crying shame that 98% of people spend their time doing nothing.

They spend their limited time buying all sorts of unrelated stuff they quickly lose interest in, and wander from site to site, sure that sooner or later they’ll find the secret to making big money online.

You already have that secret. I’ve just given it to you, but here it is again in case you missed it.

#1 – Create a product.
#2 – Write a sales page.
#3 – Get some visitors to it.

The Big Secret

I’ve received an email this morning bringing up the point about “how many techniques that have been taught in the past no longer work”.  It further goes onto say that’s why I should be involved in the newest methods.

I disagree.

A “new” method introduced 6 months ago probably didn’t work then either, or if it did, it had a very short life span as it became widely adopted and then abused.  And todays “new” method won’t work tomorrow for the same reason.

The methods that do work reliably and consistently year after year are no secret and are tried and tested, it’s just that many people think that there is some extra “secret” that they don’t know about, and if only they did it would make all the difference.

So…

Okay, you want THE secret?  The ONE thing that will make a difference?

It’s you.

Look at the top of the screen.  It says “Product Creation, Traffic, List Building, Automation = Internet Business”.

There’s your secret.  That and don’t bullshit people.

I would add to that list “building a relationship with your customers”, but that really comes under list building, and so does copywriting.

If you spend a few hours creating a product that you would buy yourself, you now have something to sell.  Once you have something to sell, you can put up a sales page and start getting traffic to it.  When you have people looking at your product, someone will buy.  You can then build a mailing list of prospects and buyers that like what you have to say and you now have customers.

You automate that entire process, and you now have a business.

That’s the entire “secret”.

Anything else is largely irrelevant.

Sure there are techniques to all of these topics, but you don’t need to learn them to get started.  You’ll pick it up as you go along.

The important thing is to get started, and stop chasing after the “newest thing”.  Let the secret chasers do that while you pull your finger out, create a product, and turn your expensive hobby into your lucrative business.
