list building

8 Weeks – Join Me

The first opening to spend 8 weeks with me is now officially live.

In case you’ve only just joined my mailing list, or you missed it, I’m putting aside 8 weeks starting on the 4th Jan 2010 so you can call me and ask me anything you like that will get you to where you create and launch your first product.

There are 10 7 slots available that include 12 months of a brand new autoresponder service I’ve negotiated for you (worth $180), ALL my products released so far and up to 28th Feb 2010 (worth more than $300), plus 8 weeks of my time where you get to call me and ask anything you like about creating and launching a product.

So you get to ask me about product creation, list building, copywriting, how to approach potential JV partners, autoresponders and so on.  I’ll answer you to the best of my ability, but most importantly I’ll answer you TRUTHFULLY and hold nothing back.  If I can see something is a bad idea, I’ll tell you so.

Without a doubt there’s a certain way you should approach your online career, and most people get it wrong.

I will help you get it right – IF you listen to me and follow my advice.

I’ll tell you for free that when I started a few years ago, even though I thought I was pretty smart about it (watching what other marketers did rather than doing what they said), I still got a lot of it wrong.  I now see that at the time it was just dumb luck I survived that first year and that it was all hanging by a thread.

Now every new project I work on, I approach differently.  Every time I read someone else’s sales copy, I know what’s going on.  Every time I see a new product on the market, I know what the angle is.  And I REALLY know how to get the marketing “buzz” going…

So…

Do you think it’s your time?

Would you like to become a player instead of a spectator in the new year?

Then click the link below and join me.

Update: Three spots gone, 7 remaining.

Pump Me For 8 Weeks

This is a follow on from yesterday.

A couple of weeks ago I was chatting to a new friend on Skype, and I slowly realised he was pumping me for information.   I’m 99% sure it wasn’t intentional. 😉

After an hour or so, he said “Oh, I wish I’d recorded all this!”

“But you’ve been taking notes, right?”

“Yes.”

That was when I had this urge I felt a couple of years ago.   At the time I said I’d probably never do it again as it’s so time consuming, but here we are again.

That urge is to help people directly and personally.

So what I’ve decided to do is to put aside January and February and make myself available for you. You can call me almost any time you like (as long as I’m not asleep) on Skype.

You can then ask me any questions you like about Internet Marketing, Product Creation, Autoresponders – anything that will get you to the point where you create and launch your first product if you haven’t already done so.

I’ll tell you now (believe me or not) YOU can create a brand new product in a couple of days, even in just a few hours, and have the web site up and ready for sales within a week EASILY once you know what you’re doing.

To put this into perspective, a couple of years ago, I did an exercise called “Seven Products In Seven Days”.  I failed as I only got four products created (including web sites, sales pages, autoresponder, etc), but I still saw it as a huge success.  At the end of it I was shattered – but I proved to myself and to everybody else how quickly you can get things done when you really try.

And of course I had four new products, two of which I sold, and gave the others away as list builders.  I’ve since decommissioned or reworked them into other products as bonuses.

You can do this kind of thing too.   Yes you need a few technical skills, but it’s nothing that isn’t learnable by most people.  Like the saying goes “If you can program a VCR, you can do this.”  (Yes, I know VCRs have been replaced by DVRs and that they’re a lot easier to use, but you get my drift.)

The technical stuff is NOT that hard, and you can always outsource it if necessary.

But what IS hard is the marketing bit, the grabbing of people’s attention, the build up of excitement, the ability to get people to do what you ask them to do.  Of course there are ways of dealing with everything, but if you don’t know where to start, you never will.

What I did was I bought my way in.   I paid some experienced marketers to help me through the beginning.  In fact I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars in learning since I got started four years ago.

Don’t worry, I’m not asking you for tens of thousands of dollars, or even the couple of grand one of my friends suggested to me, or even the grand he then backed off to.

You can afford this, I’ve priced it VERY low.

The “catch” (if you can call it that) is I’m only going to take a few people.   Obviously I can’t take on 500 people and talk to each of them whenever they need, but I can take on you and 9 other people without breaking a sweat.

I want to make something clear though.  This is NOT coaching.  This is more like consultancy, where you ask me and I’ll tell you.

Much better really when you stop to think about it.

However, having said that…   If you were to ask me what the first steps you needed to take were, I’d tell you.  And if you then asked me to give you some tasks and instruction to get you going, I’d do that too.   😉

The focus of this consultancy is on product creation, list building, copywriting, how to approach potential JV partners, autoresponders and so on, which is where I have my skill set.  For instance it’s no use asking me about CPA or Forex as I have no experience in those areas.

If you want in, then it’s first come first served.  Remember I’m putting aside two whole months of my time just to speak to you personally.  Yes, I’ll give you tasks if that’s what you need of me, and I can also provide learning or at least point you in the right direction.

As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve put together a very special bonus.  I’ve made arrangements that the first 10 people will get 12 months access to a brand new and excellent autoresponder service – 10,000 leads per month.  (I’ll be flipping all my mailing lists to this new service in the new year.)

The value of this alone is $180.

And as if that wasn’t enough, I’m also throwing in all my products released so far and up to 28th February 2010.  The value of that bonus is worth more than $300.

In all that’s a REAL $480 worth of bonuses at least, that’s not some figure based on products that aren’t being sold – we’ve all seen that going on, right?

If you want all of this, then the first 10 people can get my personal attention for 8 weeks from January 4 through February 28, 2010 for a mind-bogglingly low price of… [EDIT]

I’ll tell you tomorrow at 3.00pm GMT (10.00am EST).

Work With Me For 2 Months

Would you like to work with me for 2 months? With direct access to me when you need it, via Skype? Then read on.

When I first started down this business path a few years ago, I realised fairly quickly that I couldn’t do it all on my own. There was too much to learn and I floundered.

I quickly realised I needed help and so I went to a couple of seminars, signed up to a coaching programme and formed a mastermind group.

That realisation that I was stuck and then having the guts to admit it to myself was one of the cleverer things I’ve done. (I’ve done some pretty stupid stuff, but you live and learn.)

I think that the one thing that I can attribute most of my success to was the coaching programme, but also being able to talk to other people in the mastermind group was good too. The group lasted about 4 months before we all went off to do our own thing, but I made some good friends, and still talk to some of them fairly regularly on Skype.

It’s been good. I wouldn’t be where I am today without that – I’m fairly certain I’d be all washed up by now, dreams shattered.

Instead I have quite a few products out there, several good working relationships and some solid plans for 2010.

It doesn’t all happen at once. It takes time. But looking back I now know that if I’d had someone knowledgable I could have turned to when I needed it, even for a short space of time, it would have made all the difference, and I’d be a lot further down the road than I am now.

In fact, I didn’t really need the coaching, I just needed to able to talk to someone who’d been there before me so I could ask what to do next. Yeah I know that sounds a bit like coaching, but there’s a subtle difference, believe me. The coaching programme I was on was in a set format, very rigid – weekly webinars followed by a mass Q&A session once a month, where we all had to sit in a queue to ask questions. Not great.

What I needed was someone I could turn to regularly, someone who I could ask questions of, as and when I needed to, and not have to wait a month for the next chance.

It would have made all the difference early on.

Now… I’ve always wanted to help other people, and over the past few years I’ve quietly helped a few people here and there where I could. I knew it wasn’t always enough, and really wasn’t that good because I’ve been too busy to do it properly.

So this is what I’ve decided to do for you if you’ve read this far.

I’m putting aside the whole of January and February so you can tap me up on Skype and ask me anything you want about Internet Marketing related stuff like product creation, list building, copywriting, how to approach potential JV partners, autoresponders and so on.

Effectively you’ll be working with me for 2 months, and will have the same kind of access to me that my existing JV partners and friends have.

At this point I reckon you’ll be thinking “How much is this going to cost me?”

Well, I told one of my friends what I wanted to do and he said “How many people you going to do this for bud?” I replied “10, but from experience I could probably take up to 15.”

“Two grand a head.”

“Nope,” I said “that’s more than I want to charge.”

“Well I’d charge at least a thousand, but that’s the least I’d do what you’re talking about, it’s crazy to do it for any less, it will take up virtually all your time. Think about people calling you all hours of the day.”

Hmm…

Well I don’t want to charge that much, but I can see his point. So I’ve had a think and I reckon I’ve come up with a good compromise that will keep the price low enough to be affordable to you.

I’m still mulling it over in my head, and please just bear in mind that I can only do this for a few people. I know that if you’re one of the lucky ones, you’ll see it as one of the best decisions you ever made, and from my perspective I’d love you to come join me.

I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow.

List Building – Adding 125 New Subscribers In 12 Hours

I know people have a lot of trouble list building, but it’s probably the most valuable thing you can do to build your business, so it’s well worth getting to grips with.

Here’s something I’ve just done to add 125 new subscribers in 12 hours and has also earned me $80 while doing so.

This is something else I’ve never tried before and you know how I like to report back on what I’ve tested out. My intention was to at least break even on the list building exercise, but as it turns out I’ve so far made $80 on the deal.

Here’s what I did – to set the whole thing up took me about 8 hours.

I wrote a short 16 page report on how to make a quick couple of thousand dollars and ran a WSO (Warrior Special Offer) for it which went live on the 23rd August. In case you’ve never run one, a WSO costs $20 and you have to have at least 30 posts on the Warrior Forum before you can kick one off.

The WSO was run in two parts. The first part was the report, and after reading it, right at the very end is a link to the second part which consists of the PHP script to enable people to use the method described in the first part.

I split the WSO because I wanted to know who would sign up for the first part, and then of those people who were drawn in, I wanted to know who would take action and sign up again to a second mailing list to get the second part. I figured there’d be a few dropouts along the way and my curiousity made me want to find out how many.

I’ve been very surprised that in the last 12 hours only 46 (37%) of the people who took the report went on to get the script. The script itself in my opinion is incredibly valuable and has been responsible for adding at least $10,000 to my income when I’ve used it. So for people to miss out on that crucial bit is gob smacking.

But it goes a way to confirming what I’ve known for a long time as to why so many people don’t make it online.

Simply, they don’t follow through – they don’t take enough action.

Think about that for a moment.

I’ve seen it time and time again and I’ve even done it myself on occasion. Something is started but not completed because there’s another distraction that drags the attention away.

Here’s the killer though. Whenever I’ve followed something through, it’s always worked out for me.

Sometimes it doesn’t work out quite as well as I expected it to, and sometimes it works much better than I ever thought it would. Over the last couple of years I’ve had people say to me they can’t understand how I do it, but the fact is I try things out and the outcome of that is I always get positive results.

If you’ve been struggling a little, then PLEASE take this on board. I’m no different to you and you can do this too.

Okay, back to the WSO.

As part of the initial sign up, I made an immediate offer for another product at a killer price of just $20, with another upsell of $20. So right after sign up, the new subscribers get directed to an offer page. Even at the price I knew this would be a difficult sell to hardened Warriors and expected a 1% or less take up rate.

To my pleasant surprise I’ve had 4 people take the offer and 1 of those has taken the upsell too, bringing in $100. The WSO costs $20 to run so I’ve made a profit of $80.

So I’ve earned $80 and added 125 new subscribers for 8 hours work. I guess I’ll get more subscribers over the next day or so and a couple more sales. I’ll close the WSO on Wednesday, or I might even just close part 2 of it, I don’t know yet. I may even pay another $20 to “bump” it to the top of the forum again before closing it – after all I have a budget of $80 to play with now.

😉

I’ll definitely be doing this again, but next time I’ll try it out differently. (When you take action you learn stuff.)

What I may do next time is write a short report and a longer ebook, both related, and both about making money online. The short report will have some great content in it and will effectively be a sales piece for the ebook. The ebook will be low cost, about $5, so it’s an easy upsell.

I’ll then offer all new subscribers of the report a brandable version and an affiliate link for the ebook that will pay them 100% commission of $10 or $17 instantly using SmartDD.

So imagine this were you and you’d signed up for my free report. You’d get offered an upsell of the full ebook, and you’d also be given the ability to put a brandable version of the report on your blog or web site in return for a sign up. If people then grabbed the upsell ebook, you’d earn the commission for it.

What I’d get is the opportunity to also add a new subscriber to my list that’s actually purchased something to do so. That’s a win-win for both you and me which is what I love to happen, don’t you?

In fact, thinking about it, I could write the short report on exactly how I ran the WSO, with the ebook all about different methods of list building.

That would go down well wouldn’t it?

Last thing then, what would 125 new subscribers mean to you?

I’ll tell you. More subscribers means more income.

Depending on who you believe, it’s been said that it can be up to a dollar a month in additional income. But even if you use a figure of only one tenth of that, that’s an extra $12.50 each and every month for just one concerted effort to set it all up.

There aren’t many industries where you can say 8 hours work once will earn you an extra $150 every year.

Food for thought?

Send In The Bulldozers

Here’s an idea for you, something I’ve wanted to do myself but haven’t had the time to do it.

First, scour your hard drive and put together a mega package of products, something like the subscriber offer I make to everybody when they sign up to my blog notify list.

Create a regular sales page for the mega-package at $47 or $67. Next, create a nickel sale (I’m assuming you have the Nickel Script) for the same deal, in a sub-directory of the site, and keep a local copy of the entire set up on your PC to use as a template that you can use to quickly upload.

On the download page, put a sign up form and use the words “To register your purchase, enter your name and email address in the boxes below. This is currently the only way I can keep you informed of updates to this package.”

95% of people will signup after their purchase, and this will build your mailing list.

Finally, write to other marketers offering to set the sale up with their name as the directory, and with their PayPal address in the config so that they get 100% of the sale paid directly into their PayPal account.

e.g. http://wwwYOURMEGAPACKAGEDOMAINHERE.com/johnsmith/

Explain that nickel sales are dynamite and that you will start it at $0.07 and increase the price by 5 cents with each sale. Give them 2 carefully worded emails that they can send to their lists to warm them up before the sale, and a 3rd email to give them the link.

If they make a typical 300 sales, the final price will be $15.07 and they will make $2,263.50 in about a day.

No average marketer (non-guru) in the IM niche is going to refuse that as long as they haven’t already done too many similar offers to their lists. (I think I may have done too many recently, and I’m trying to rectify that…)

You will have nearly 300 brand new buyers on your mailing list per JV partner.

Have a game plan to offer them some useful freebies, maybe a video or two and a report you’ve created yourself, as well as some useful blog posts to enamour them with you.

Then after you’ve given them some very useful and valuable free info, send them an email to a product you’re promoting to make your money from the deal. Ideally, it would be a product that you’ve created of course, but if you’re in a hurry you can promote someone else’s.

Make sure it’s a good one!

Set all this up as an autoresponder series.

Then all you need do is find people who are willing to promote the deal for you, one at a time. Set up a brand new directory for each marketer, and leave it in place permanently.

You now have a system you can just plug in and run. This method of running a promotion with one JV partner at a time is called a bulldozer launch, and is an immensely powerful way of building a list (your list is your internet business), and making some back end money yourself.

-Frank Haywood

P.S. If anybody wants to do something like this with me for the Nickel Script itself, just raise a support ticket on my help desk at http://www.Vendiva.com/support/ in the “Personal Message” department.
