Demo Page

Plugin Great members will already find the plugin in the members area.

It enables you to display simple text, link and image content in a slide-out bar, either automatically or manually with a tab you can tap or click to show or hide the slidebar. It looks just as good on your phone as it does on your desktop computer.

Better still, you can create as many of these content slide-outs as you like and either display (or disable) them globally, and even select which slide-out shows on each individual page and post. That means you can place different content on every page and post, or mix and match with all posts showing one slidebar except for those you choose to display something else.

You can also set the cookie on each slidebar to decide how often it should auto-display itself.

So for example you can set the cookie to 14 days and have the slidebar auto-display itself the first time that someone views a page, but then not again for 14 days. The tab still shows the whole time, so if someone wants to view the content manually, then they can.

This is very useful for displaying important messages to visitors without bugging them too much and driving them away.

The plugin helps you to move visitors to your WordPress driven sites through the different stages, from first time visitor, to prospect, to customer, and then to repeat customer.

It does this by presenting different content depending on which stage they’ve reached in your site flow.

So for example, you may at first display them with an optin form, and then when they subscribe and become a prospect, you can show them a discount coupon or other special offer that’s only open to subscribers.

As they take up each offer, you can move them through as many different stages as you want, and at each stage show them different content.

There are three built in trackers, but you can add unlimited amounts of your own trackers, and associate content with each tracking group as they move through the flow you’ve decided on.

This could be a simple visitor to prospect pathway, or something more complex and changing.

For example, let’s say they follow a link from your home page to another page which tells them about a particular product you’re selling. As they follow that link, you can ensure they get cookied and added to a particular tracker.

Then just like FaceBook, Amazon or eBay (they all do it), when they revisit your site they’ll automatically see your ads for that product. They’ve already shown and interest in it, so instead of just giving them random ads and hoping for the best, you also get to show them targeted content and a reminder of that product.

If you put two and two together you’ll see that this plugin can be used with the last plugin I released (the Recently Related plugin) and between them steer your visitors to the conclusion you desire.  😉

o Encourage returning visitors to become a subscriber.
o Make offers to subscribers e.g. coupon code or discounts.
o Provide links to downloadable items available only to subscribers.
o Promote other products and upsells to known buyers.
o Track returning visitors, subscribers, customers and more.
o Customizable cookie length.
o Add text, images, video and more to your content.
o Works with any autoresponder / optin software or service.
o Automatically move subscribers into different trackers.
o Simple link tracking means moving your subscribers is easy.
o Display content in widgetised areas with custom widget.
o Display content in posts and pages with TinyMCE button / code.
o Install the plugin, amend a few settings, and choose your messages.
o Uses WordPress WYSIWYG editor (TinyMCE) to add your content.

Click-Me Alert Bar

Offer Closed

Update: You can watch the overview video above (okay I got carried away and it’s a full feature-rich tutorial) and also see a working demo of the Alert Bar in action on the link below.

On Wednesday at 6.00pm GMT (1.00pm EST) I’m releasing a very cool (and sneaky) new plugin called the “Click-Me Alert Bar.”

I outright stole this idea from a WSO, but I think I’ve made mine a lot better. You be the judge.  😉

In the other plugin, you had to upgrade to the “pro” version just to get the features that mine has right out of the box. Mine is a third of the price in this sale.

So what does it do?

You know those little “alert” bars that appear at the top of your browser when a pop-up is blocked or you’re missing an addon to play certain media? Well this plugin does that but you get full control of the alert bar on your blog so that you can deliver your own message.

We’ve been a little bit clever with it and added in WordPress Conditional Tags (we *like* those) so that you have total control over which alerts show where.

o Create multiple alerts and have different ones show on different pages and posts including special pages like home, 404, tag, category pages etc.

o Multiple alerts on the same page (one at a time only), either rotated or picked randomly.

o Split test statistics for clicks so you can see which alert performs best.

o Set the delay time before the alert shows.

o Rich Text HTML editor for the clickable URL text.

o Rich Text HTML editor for the message.

o Select one of the built in icons or use your own.

o Colour picker for the alert bar, so you don’t have to use plain yellow.

o Set the alert bar to your preferred height.

We’ve been testing all day and as is typical with me I’ve just asked for some usability changes but they should be done by tomorrow.

Now there’s going to be a little change with tomorrow’s sale if you’ve been a customer for any length of time. I’m going to be running it through an affiliate scheme. OMG! I know…  😉

So you’ll be able to snag it yourself and then get your money back by promoting it. (That’s something I typically do for products I buy and like and it works for me.)

Set yourself a reminder and tomorrow at 6.00pm GMT (1.00pm EST) the sale goes live. At any rate I’ll drop you a line a few hours before, and then again when it starts.

More details tomorrow.

MORE Templates for the Page Template Plugin

Offer Closed

Don’t miss this one.

We’ve all been busy here at this end prepping a big pile of sales and squeeze page templates to work with the latest version of the Page Template Plugin (PTP).  We’re almost done and another few days and they should all be up to date.

In case you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, the PTP allows you to select a page design that’s completely different in appearance to the rest of your blog.  The sales page templates are probably the most flexible as you can use them not just for sales pages, but as designs you can use to highlight special offers on products you may be promoting as an affiliate.

By default WordPress doesn’t allow you to do that, but that’s something the PTP fixes.

As we complete the conversions we’ll add more and more to the PTP web site – there’s a nice selection of examples on there already.

Then when we’re ready and we make the site live, then each individual template will cost a very reasonable $7 apiece.  You can pick and choose and at that price it won’t hurt anybody’s pocket.

But before I do that, I’m releasing some bundle packs of five templates at a time for just $10 total per pack which is a substantial saving over the full price of the individual templates and will give you that extra bit of choice when you want to add some unique looking pages to your blogs.

The first sale of these additional templates starts today at 6.00pm GMT (1.00pm EST) for just $10 and for just 48 hours.

The templates themselves are being converted right now and will be available later today, but you can see 60% screenshot images of each of the templates on offer below.
