Update: The server seems to be responding extremely slowly on port 80, while all other ports are operating at full speed, so I’m not sure what’s going on there. Time will tell…

Have you been happy with the hosting service you’re using (other than the explosion. haaa). I’m ready to get a WordPress blog, and the price seems very reasonable.

Yes. A couple of people have said they’ve had problems with sites hosted at The Planet, one even said he lived in Texas and thought my sites were slow. But I find that largely, from here in the UK, it’s been very reasonable.

After my server came back up the other day it was *very* slow at presenting web pages, but as I have a dedicated server I was able to restart Apache after having a bit of a think and realising that might be the problem. Things then returned to normal.
